I inked (unk?) strip number three. Lots of guns made it a bit of a pain in the ass. I must be holding the stylus wrong because my wrist is killing me. I keep wanting to do more than one strip in a night but maybe it’s for the best that I don’t. I’d feel dumb having to stop for injury. I’m also realizing that I’m probably using the wrong settings for the strokes I’m using. I was using this process a few (several) years ago and I don’t think I was working in preview mode like I am now. The difference being that I’m going to have to put more work in to fix the endpoints and such because they’re actually further away from each other than they look. I’m not sure if that makes sense but I’m just going to plow through for now and see how bad it is this weekend. I have a feeling that inking the next episode is going to be a significantly different process.
Speaking of this weekend, I think I’m on track to start coloring by Sunday or Monday. My ultimate goal is to publish in the first week of September, which should give me plenty of time to finish this episode and have it look like it should. Once I start publishing, I’m going to give myself a week of tweaking settings on the site because with comics it’s going to be a different animal in terms of design and function. After that week I’m going to go into production for episode two. Plans plans plans.
I finished watching Constantine about half an hour ago and I just started House (the (old) movie). I have a vague memory of reading somewhere that Constantine was bad, but I never read the comic and have shitty taste in movies.
