I finished the 3rd row of the 3rd strip, and started the last row. I spent a lot of time trying to work out how to portray movement in the frame, and I’m still not sure I have it right. Depicting significant action from one frame to the next without using a bunch of frames to transition is giving me trouble. Action is hard, I guess, which is probably obvious. The good news is that most of the rest of the episode isn’t as action-heavy, though the practice would be nice.
It seems every time I look at the previous day’s drawings I find stuff that looks pretty off. I’m thinking I’m going to have to devote a day or two after I finish all the drawings to going back over everything and fixing things I didn’t notice before.
My facial consistency is getting better and I’m pretty sure it’s from practice. I introduce two new main characters in later strips of this episode, and I’m going to have to practice them as well if I don’t want them looking like ten new characters.
I’m gonna start including what’s on TV (distracting me) while I try to get this done. Today it was Carrie which had way more nudity than I remembered.
